Abstract

This research discusses five study techniques: Pomodoro Technique, Color-Coding Technique, SQ3R Technique, PQ4R Technique, and Mind Mapping Technique and how effective these methods are in different circumstances. Furthermore, it identifies which of these five techniques is the most effective and preferred among participants. The results were from selected Grade 12 students of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI). Results from this research will also vary based on the different profiles provided by the respondents, namely: age, sex, religion, relationship status, section, and monthly income. According to the results, color-coding is the most preeminent used learning technique among students. Despite the fact that the research respondents came from different backgrounds, the grounds that supported the findings were based on the participants' common choice of studying methods. Finally, the researchers recommend recreating the same study using identical respondent profiles, so that there would be a re-evaluation, expansion of theory, and a less gender-biased result. In order to develop and maintain a research culture that promotes honesty and encourages adherence to best practices through effective education and techniques, as well as other approaches.
