Abstract

The focus of this study is to determine if the soil surrounding the selected factory in Dasmariñas City, Cavite is contaminated with heavy metal. The study will cover both the surrounding soil, and the selected crops nearby the said factory. The required variables such as the soil, and the selected crops will be gathered only from Don Gregorio Heights Subdivision, Dasmariñas City, Cavite, about 5 to 10 meters away from the factory. This study will only focus on the heavy metal content of the plants and the health hazards that may pose in consuming the crops. The morphological changes of the plants will not be tackled.
