Abstract
This study was conducted in order to determine whether there were acquisition and accumulation of pathogenic microorganisms in the lanyards connected to the Identification (I.D) of students, as well as the extent of its colonisation if detected. Furthermore, the researchers sought to identify if other pathogenic bacterias were present in the students’ lanyard and if these present microbes may have significant effects in the health condition of the students. Not only were the detection of pathogens were examined extensively but also the possible underlying causes of the contamination of I.D lanyards. The proposed study focused on the elementary students of DJPR elementary school from grades one (1) to six (6) within the vicinity of Dasmariñas Cavite. Randomly selected five students in each section will undergo lanyard swabbing and survey questionnaire; thus, the results shall not be generalised and subjective only to one participant. This research was conducted from November 2019 to June 2020.
