Abstract
Cross-sectional study was utilized by the researchers. A total of 191 respondents were sampled using non-probability purposive sampling. In this study, a self-administered questionnaire was utilized and data was analyzed using odds ratio and Chi-square. The study concluded that the level of anxiety as measured by the GAD scale was not independent of number of hours of sleep among second year medical students. On the other hand, there was no sufficient evidence to conclude that the level of anxiety as measured by the HAM-A scale was not independent of number of hours of sleep among respondents.
