Abstract
The study used cross-sectional research design where one hundred fifteen (115) females of reproductive age from Brgy. Zone 1A, Dasmarinas, were selected using the cluster sampling method. A survey questionnaire was used
as instrument and data was analysed using mean, frequency distribution, Chi-square, and p-value. Profile of the respondents showed females of age 19-45 years old with mean of age of 32, majority of them were married, and 57% were unemployed. In relation to level of awareness on RH law, majority of the respondents (92.17% or 106/115) had good awareness. Forty four percent (44.35% or 51/115) were contraceptive users and among the contraceptive users, (92.16% (47/51) had good awareness. Oral pills were the most preferred method of contraception among the respondents followed by male condoms. The calculated prevalence ratio of awareness on RH law as exposure variable and contraceptive use as outcome variable was 0.99, with 95% confidence interval of 0,4461-2.1353 and P=0.7313.
