Abstract
This study was undertaken primarily to find out the factors that influenced the Associate in Radiologic Technology Batch'92 of De La Salle University-Emilio Aguinaldo College to pursue the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology. Specifically, the study sought the answers to the following questions: (1) What are the factors that influenced the male and female respondents to pursue BSRT? (2) What are the NCEE ratings of the male and female respondents? (3) What are the GPA of the male and female respondents? The hypotheses to be tested are: (1) There are no differences in the factors that influenced the male and female respondents to pursue the BSRT course. (2) There are differences between the male and female NCEE ratings. (3) There are differences in the male and females' GPA.The study made use of the descriptive survey design considering the nature of the problem. The main evaluation instruments used were the questionnaire, the NCEE ratings and the GPA of the respondents. The respondents were twenty-two (22) males eight (8) females, a total of thirty (30) ART students Batch'92 of De La Salle University-Emilio Aguinaldo College. In the statistical treatment of the study, the Frequency count, Percentage and Ranking systems were used. In the light of the findings made, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) The respondents were influenced to pursue the BSRT course to be further equipped with the recent know-how of X-ray, while others were influenced by their own choice, and some were influenced by parents, friends and peers. (2) The males had higher NCEE and GPA ratings that the female respondents. (3) More males are lured to further their studies than the females. (4) Others would want to apply for a job in hospitals of good standing.
