Abstract
(1) What are the preferred job qualifications of radiologic technologists as perceived by the human resource directors and chief radiologic technologists in selected hospitals in the National Capital Region in terms of : 1.1 Clinical Skills 1.2 Technical Skills 1.3 Management Skills 1.4 Related Experience (2) Is there a significant difference in the perception of the human resource directors and chief radiologic technologists on the preferred job qualifications of the four skills? (3) Based on the findings of the study what are the preferred job qualifications of radiologic technologists? This study used the descriptive documentary analysis The descriptive survey method is designed to gather information about the present existing condition. The principal aim described the nature of the situation as it existed at the time of the study and explored causes of specific phenomena (Transverse and Sevilla, 1997). This study described the Preferred Job Qualifications Radiologic Technologies as perceived by Human Resource Directors and Chief Radiologic Technologists of selected hospitals in NCR.This study calls upon the views of Human Resource Directors and Chief Technologists of selected Hospitals in the National Capital region on the importance of Job Qualifications within Radiologic Departments. It is the purpose of this study to delimit its scope in selected hospitals within the National Capital Region due to its vast and limitless information since that is where all the main hospitals are centralized. This study summons to focus on the views and preferred qualifications of the Human Resource Departments and Chief Radiologic Technologists with their personal and professional attributes with accordance to their standards that they have set in order for an RT to work within their departments. The respondents of the study are all Human Resource Directors and Chief Radiologic Technologists of the hospitals that will satisfy the criteria set forth in the study. The criteria for selection of hospitals (a) Must be accredited by Department of Health (b) Must have at least 200 bed capacity (c) Must be located in the National Capital region (d) Must be categorized as a tertiary hospital. From the findings, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) The respondents had almost the same evaluation on their preferred job qualifications for radiologic technologists. (2) The respondents, responded homogenously according to the t- test with regards to each of the aspects to which the questions are categorized. (3) There was a positive correlation between the evaluations of the Human Resource Directors and the Chief Radiologic Technologists. (4) The obtained mean grade of the clinical and technical skills posted the highest mean which showed that the respondents regard both as Very Highly Preferred. (5) The obtained mean grade of the Management skills as both perceived by the Human Resource Director and the Chief Radiologic technologist posted the lowest average. Meaning that the management is only Highly Preferred.
