Abstract
This study used descriptive documentary method. Data was obtained through documentary analysis of grading sheets on file and the results of the licensure examination of the graduates of De La Salle University Dasmarinas who took the licensure examination from 1996 to 2000 for the first time. There were 293 respondents comprising 64% of the total population of 456 graduates from 1996 to 2000. Documentary analysis of the liberal arts, courses performance, professional courses performance, grades in the internship performance and the licensure examination results were conducted. Statistical tools used were mean, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, and Pearson product-moment correlation. The study concluded that: (1) The respondents had fair performance in terms of their liberal arts courses; (2) Although the performance in professional courses and in internship was both satisfactory and heterogeneous, the respondents had better grades in their professional courses than in their internship; (3) The academic performance of the respondents based on their liberal arts courses performance, professional courses performance and internship performance was satisfactory; (4) The radiologic technology graduates had a low and homogenous performance in their licensure examination from 1996 to 2000; (5) There was a moderately small correlation between the liberal arts courses performance and the licensure examination performance. Liberal arts courses could predict the licensure examination performance of a student; (6) The professional course performance had a moderately small positive correlation. The professional course could predict the licensure examination performance to a moderate extent; (7) There was a very small correlation between internship performance and licensure performance. There is a very small possibility that the internship performance can predict the result of the licensure performance; (8) In general, the academic performance had a moderately small positive correlation with the licensure examination performance of the graduates. It can predict the result of the licensure examination performance to a moderate extent.
