Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the employability of graduates of Radiologic Technology of De La Salle University - Emilio Aguinaldo College from SY 1984-1988. A total of ninety (92) or 84 percent of the one hundred ten (110) total population was used as sample. Specifically, this study sought to answer the following questions: (1) What is the employment status of the graduate of Radiologic Technology of De La Salle University -= Emilio Aguinaldo College for the past five years. (2) What is the employment status of the respondents when they grouped according to: a) course, b) licensure, c) scholastic rating. (3) Are there differences in the employability of the respondents, when they are grouped according to: a) course, b) licensure, c) scholastic rating? In the light of the findings, the following conclusion were drawn: 1) The Radiology Technology graduates had high employment status. (2) BSRT graduates had higher employability over ART graduates although they are almost the same in terms of employment courses related job. (3) Those with Board Licensure had high employability over those with Proficiency Licensure. (4) Those with above average scholastic ability had higher employability over those with average and below average scholastic ability. (5) Course, Licensure status and scholastic ability were directly associated to employability. Percent of them were unemployed. Among the employed respondents slightly more than 75 percent had course related jobs. Almost 25 percent had non-course related jobs.
