Abstract
This study sought to determine the level of teaching performance of Radiologic technology faculty members. Likewise it attempted to determine if the demographic variables such as sex, age educational attainment and length of service are related to the teaching performance of the faculty members and if there are significant differences in the level of teaching performance between the perception of the students and the actual teaching performance as recorded. Specifically, this study sought to answer the following questions: (1) What is the level of teaching performance of Radiologic Technology faculty members of DLSU-Aguinaldo SY 1994-1995, as evaluated by the Radiologic Technology students? (2) Are there significant differences in the level of teaching performance of Radiologic Technology faculty members when they are grouped according to sex, age, educational attainment and length of service? (3) Are there significant differences in the level of teaching performance between the perception of the students and the actual teaching performance of the faculty members? The descriptive method was used in this study: Six hundred twelve (612) students currently enrolled in Radiologic Technology at De La Salle Universirty-Aguinaldo SY 1994-1995 were the subjects in this study from the total number of the respondents two hundred forty (240) students were randomly selected. This compose of forty percent (40%) of the population. The randomly selected respondents stood as the forty percent of the total population. The mean and the chi-square were the statistical treatment in this study. Based on the findings gathered in this investigation the following conclusions were drawn: (1) The Radiologic Technology faculty members of DLSU-Aguinaldo SY 1994-1995 had outstanding teaching performance, which may be due to selective hiring of faculty members and supervision of their teaching activities. (2) The demographic variables such as sex, age educational attainment and length of service had no effect or influence on. the level of teaching performance of the Radiologic Technology faculty members. (3) The actual teaching performance as recorded had no difference in the perception of the students.
