Abstract
The study used the descriptive method of research. The population of the target respondents of Barangay San Agustin, Trece Martires City, Cavite is 4,660. The researchers used a simple random sampling method to obtain the information needed in the study. Out of 4,660 total population, 370 students were included in the study using the Slovin’s formula at 0.05 margin of error. The research utilized an adapted questionnaire from the study of Christopher Jerr P. Barco, Emitor C. Vale and Reynaldo M. Villa entitled Acceptability of Herbal Medicine by residents of Barangay Anabu 1-E, Imus, Cavite. The data gathered was treated using the following statistical tools: frequency distribution table, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results showed that majority of the respondents belong to the age group of 18 to 40 years old, male, Catholic, high school graduates and have a monthly income of 10,000 pesos and below. The overall level of acceptability of herbal medicine by the respondents is high. The respondents have the same level of acceptability on herbal medicine regardless of their age, gender, religion, and monthly income. However when it comes to educational attainment, college and high school graduates have higher level of acceptability of herbal medicine compare to those respondents with no formal education.
