Abstract

The study used the descriptive method. Using purposive sampling, the respondents were 50 patients with chronic renal failure in Metro Cavite Dialysis Center, Inc. The adopted and modified instruments used were the UP-PGH Quality of Life Scale and The Level of Hope Scale. The statistical treatments used were frequency, percentage, mean, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) via F-test, Pearson’s or Product-moment Correlation Coefficient. Based on the findings, the researchers drew these conclusions: (1) Most of the respondents were 20-39 years old, married and had monthly family income of P10,000 and below; (2) The total level of hope of patients with chronic renal failure was very high; (3) The total quality of life of patients with chronic renal failure was high; (4) The level of hope of patients with chronic renal failure when grouped according to age, civil status and monthly family income differed significantly; (6) On the correlation, there was a relationship between level of hope and quality of life of patients with chronic renal failure.
