Abstract
The descriptive method of research was used in the study. A total of 370 residents were selected using stratified random sampling technique. The researchers used a self-made questionnaire to measure the awareness regarding PHC programs. Statistical tools utilized were mean, standard deviation, frequency, T-test, percentage and ANOVA. Based on the careful analysis of the gathered data, the researchers arrived at the following conclusions: (1) Majority of the respondents were female, adult, married, and reached high school level; (2) The level of awareness regarding primary health care programs had a mean of 3.17and verbally interpreted as aware to a moderate extent; (3) Heterogeneity existed in the level of awareness of the selected residents regarding primary health care programs when grouped according to gender, age, civil status and educational attainment. Gender and civil status were the factors that affect the level of awareness of the respondents. The respondents had the same evaluation on the awareness regarding PHC programs regardless of age and educational attainment.
