Abstract

The descriptive method of research was used. A total of 600 fourth year high school students were included as respondents of the study selected simple random sampling. The researchers adopted the questionnaire used by Dabuet, Ramos and Amor (2006) to measure the level of awareness of the respondents on radiologic technology as a paramedical course. Data was treated using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test of independent values and ANOVA. The following conclusions were drawn from the findings: (1) Most of the respondents are female who came from a family whose monthly income is below P10, 000.00; (2) Fifty percent (50%) of the respondents are from private schools and 50% percent are from public schools; (3) The respondents were moderately aware on radiologic technology as a paramedical course; (4) The respondents had the same level of awareness on radiologic technology as a paramedical course regardless of their gender and monthly family income; (5) Respondents who came from public were more aware on radiologic technology as a paramedical course than those who came from private schools.
