Abstract
Descriptive method of research was applied in this study. A total of 400 respondents were selected using simple random sampling. The researchers employed a self-made questionnaire. The statistical measures used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test of independent means, and f-test. Based on the findings, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) Majority of the respondents are female; (2) Most of them are 21-30 years old and obtained college education; (3) The extent of effectiveness of health education programs is effective to a moderate extent, while immunization had a significantly higher level of effectiveness compared to other types of health education programs; (4) There are no significant differences in the extent of effectiveness of health education programs as perceived by selected residents in Brgy. Sungay East, Tagaytay City when they are grouped according to age and gender, except in educational attainment.
