Abstract
The objective of the study is to determine the quality of life among post-stroke out-patients of four DLSHSI-affiliated Hospitals in the province of Cavite, which are De La Salle University Medical Center, General Emilio Aguinaldo Medical Hospital, St. Dominic Medical Center, and St. Paul Medical Center. The study is descriptive cross-sectional type and 35 participants were purposively selected. Data was collected through in depth face-to-face interview with each of the participant using a Filipino version of the SS-QOL questionnaire on the 12 domains of quality of life: vision, work productivity, fatigue, family roles, language, mobility, mood, personality, self-care, social roles, thinking, and upper extremity functions. Data obtained was analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, mean and percentage. The findings of the study showed a good QOL among the participants with a mean score of 169 in the SS-QOL questionnaire and a mean percentage of 69.30%. Specifically, 19 of the participants had good QOL and six (6) had very Good QOL.
