Abstract
A Convergent Mixed Parallel Method was conducted in Carmona Diabetic Club through Pagamutang Bayan ng Carmona in Carmona, Cavite. Social Participation Scale was used to collect data in the quantitative part of the research. It is also supported by the forum discussion which was for the qualitative part of the research. Quantitative data were processed by finding the weighted mean using the Likert Scale. Qualitative data were processed by doing a Thematic Analysis. Among the 8 domains of Social Participation, the Major Life Areas domain is the most affected among the participants from the Pagamutang Bayan ng Carmona, Cavite. This domain involves activities done with the community, family or relatives like Festivals, Weddings, funerals, Baptism, etc.). With the help of Thematic Analysis, the researchers found out that other domains like Self-Care, Interpersonal Interactions, and Communication also play a vital role in an individual’s social participation. These are evident during check-ups and meetings. The social participation of an individual consists of different domains, and if one domain is affected, it can also affect the other domains. Balancing then has a big impact to the individual in order to have an active social participation.
