Abstract
The study focused on the effectiveness of serial casting, contracted fingers of hessonites aged 35-50 years old, researchers conducted at Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital. There were 22 subjects taken from different physical therapy charts of the hospital as subjects for the study. Criteria set by researchers and evaluated the range motion of each proximal interphalangeal joint. Two months after, a re-evaluation was done, both evaluations based on the patients' records. All the necessary data taken, collated, interpreted and computed the percentages. Results of the study showed that a large percentage of hessonites qualified the study did not improved from serial casting (i.e. no significant increases noted on the range of motion).
