Abstract
Muntinlupa is a one big municipality suffering from lack of rehabilitation unit that offer physical therapy services despite the presence of big hospitals within its premises. In addressing this need, the authors looked into the possibility of putting up a Satellite De La Salle University-Aguinaldo PT Clinic in the Medical Center Muntinlupa. The main objective of the study is to determine the feasibility of establishing a PT clinic at Medical Center Muntinlupa. Specifically, this study will discuss the following management, marketing, technical, financial and socio-economic aspects. Other objectives are the following : (1) to serve the therapeutic needs of the people such as Taguig, Paranaque, Las Piñas, and San Pedro, Laguna; (2) to facilitate employment of the people of the people in Muntinlupa and its neighboring communities; and (3) to be able to increase hospital earnings. The study itself feasible to set up and is therefore highly recommend. However, the fact that a PT Clinic already exist in the said center, putting up a Satellite DLSU-Aguinaldo PT clinic is no longer possible. Moreover, because of the increasing number of interns every year, the authors looked into the possibility of having the Medical Center Muntinlupa PT Clinic as one of the affiliation centers. With an interview with Dr. Reyes-Littaua in courtesy of the Clinical Supervisor she is willing to allow the DLSU-A College of PT to affiliate in the said hospital.
