Abstract
Reports in the literature for determining the dimensions of patients satisfaction in PT or for developing tests that will yield reliable measurements are lacking. The researchers have decided to delve into this study for reasons that patient satisfaction is easily neglected. The researchers have chosen to conduct the study in all satellite and home-based rehabilitation centers of DLSU-HSC, College of PT with 10 orthopedic patients in each centers in order to better assess if there is still a need fro improvement in that affiliated rehabilitation center using guided interview. Results showed that all respondents from centers were very satisfied as to provider conduct, UMC,SDMC,JPNMRC, and SJDH had an average weighted mean due to insufficient rationale, and patient education. Regarding accessibility and convenience all centers of DLSU-HSC were well satisfied. ABMH and NGH got the highest with 7.67 while SJDH got the least with 6.44 due to distant location of the center and poor means of communication. Under finances all centers were all satisfied. HBSI had the highest with 9.25 (VS) indicating a cost-effective service while SDMC has the lowest with 5.25 (MS) due to its high cost regardless of other forms of payments. SJDH had the highest with 8.6 (VS) that had the most patient-friendly environment whivh include cleanliness, good ventilation, sufficient lighting and relaxing atmosphere while SDMC had the lowest with 4.1 (MnS) . UMC got the highest with 9.66 (VS) due to availability of modalities and equipment because time is essential to patient satisfaction while ABMH and JPNMRC got the lowest with 4.33 (MS). the researchers concluded that there's no specific center which provide total satisfaction regarding patients expectation because there are factors to be considered such as provider conduct, accessibility and convenience, finance, physical environment, modalities and equipment. Nevertheless , there are centers which excel in some aspects of patients satisfaction. Further creation of standardized data collection instruments should be done to boost formal research. Rehabilitation centers should focus for improvement to provide a quality of service and care.
