Abstract

This study deals with the relationship of self-esteem, physical functioning and quality of life of community-dwelling early in brgy San miguel and San Vicente Silang, Cavite with the utilization of a survey as a research design and random population sampling , this study was conducted in two brgy in Silang, Cavite . This study involved 100 elderly which were randomly picked, 60 years old above , in the mentioned brgy. The researchers determined the populations self-esteem, physical functioning and quality of life survey from which would assess the tree variables. The data collected and gathered were summed up and analyzed and was cross-tabulated using the chi-square format to see if a relationship exist between the variables included in this study if it is significant or not. the researchers come up both with significant and not significant results. the self-esteem , of physical functioning and overall quality of life showed direct relationship . While all physical sociodemographic variables showed no relationship at all.
