Abstract

This study aims to show the perceptions of level IV nursing students batch '96 and level III nursing students batch '97 regarding the effectiveness of creative case presentation as a learning strategy in terms of acquiring knowledge, skills and attitude. This study mainly focused on the perceptions 121 level IV batch 1996 and 85 level III batch 1997 nursing students of the College of Nursing and Midwifery, De La Salle University - Aguinaldo. The perceptions of the two groups of respondents revealed that most questions on positive approach are being observed by both level IV and III nursing students or there was an agreeable perception in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. They showed the existence of the principles of good learning and teaching strategy according to Gregorio as stated in chapter III. Based on the findings the researchers therefore conclude that there is no significance difference between the perceptions of level IV batch '96 and level III batch '97 nursing students in the effectiveness of carative case presentation as a learning strategy of nursing - 103; it also revealed that the said strategy is effective in acquiring knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes.
