Abstract
The study used a descriptive, non-experimental research design to describe the perceived health benefits of coconut water in selected municipalities in Cavite. Stratified random sampling was utilized to select 150 respondents. Data was obtained using a self-made survey questionnaire. The statistical treatments used were ANOVA, frequency, independent t-test, mean, percentage, and standard deviation. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of the respondents among selected municipalities in Cavite were aged 41-60 years old, female, college graduate, with a monthly family income of under P40,000 and were from lowland area; 2) Overall, the coconut water was highly perceived as a protection for renal impairments among other health benefits; 3) There was no evidence that suggested that the perceived health benefits of coconut water among respondents was influenced by age. However, there was an evidence that suggested that the perceived health benefits of coconut water among respondents were influenced by sex, educational attainment, socio-economic status, and topographical location.
