Abstract
This study utilized a quantitative type of research. Fifty (50) patients with tuberculosis in Panapaan II, Bacoor, Cavite were chosen using purposive sampling technique. An adapted and modified tool was utilized to gather data. The statistical treatments used were mean, Pearson’s r, t-test and f-test. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of the respondents were male, Roman Catholic, married, aged 20-39, high school graduate, employed, and with a duration of illness of 6-9 months; 2) Age was a significant determinant of the level of social support received by the respondents while employment status was a significant determinant of the level of coping; 3) The respondents’ level of coping is higher when they are employed while younger respondents received a higher level of support than the older respondents.
