Abstract
This study utilized a descriptive type of research, which focused on the contributory factors causing academic difficulties as perceived by the 154 third year nursing students of DLSU HSC Batch 2005 selected using purposive sampling technique. A questionnaire-checklist was distributed to the respondents. Statistical treatments used were percentage, frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation and t-test. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of the respondents in this study were female; 2) The respondents’ evaluation on contributory factors causing academic difficulties is all generally significant; 3) The respondents’ evaluation on contributory factors causing academic difficulties is significant when they grouped according to gender.
