Abstract

This study utilized the quantitative, non-experimental and descriptive design. One hundred fifty (150) respondents were chosen using purposive and quota sampling from selected barangays in Imus, Cavite. A self-made questionnaire was used to collect the demographic profile of the respondents such as age, gender, monthly family income and educational attainment and the responses to 30 positively stated statements to determine the perception of adults in Imus, Cavite regarding the perceived health benefits of urotherapy. The statistical treatments applied were frequency distribution, mean, ANOVA and t-test. The study found out that, 1) Majority of the respondents were 32-45 years old, female, with monthly family income of P10,000 below and high school graduate; 2) The respondents perceived urotherapy to be beneficial to health to a less extent; 3) The perception of respondents regarding the health benefits of urotherapy was not significantly different in terms of age, gender, monthly family income and educational attainment.
