Abstract

The study utilized the descriptive-correlation type of research. It was used to describe the relationship between spiritual beliefs, practices and psycho-emotional well-being of clients with cancer. This study was conducted in the selected communities in Cavite. The respondents were 100 clients with cancer ranging from 20 to 65 years of age and were chosen using non-probability sampling. The researchers used an adapted-modified questionnaire and data was analysed using percentage, mean, t-test, and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were obtained: (1) majority of the respondents were 40-65 years old, female and Catholics; (2) majority of clients with cancer in Cavite had high inclination in terms of spiritual beliefs and practices; (3) majority of clients with cancer in Cavite had high pyscho-emotional wellbeing; (4) there was significant difference in the spiritual beliefs and practices among client with cancer in Cavite according to gender and religion. However, there was no significant difference in terms of age; (5) there was high significant difference in the psycho-emotional wellbeing among clients with cancer in Cavite according to gender. However, there were no significant difference in terms age and religion; (6) there was significant relationship between spiritual beliefs and practices on the psycho-emotional wellbeing of clients with cancer in Cavite.
