Abstract

This study utilized the descriptive explanatory type of research. The respondents are the 564 nursing students (Level I-IV), 39 nursing faculty who worked in the College of Nursing and Midwifery for the school ear 1994-1995 and 5 administrators of the college, the dean and the 4 level coordinators. A questionnaire/ checklist provided b the P.A.A.S.C.U. was the primary instrument in this research study. The statistical instrument utilized by the study was frequency table, weighted mean, T-test, and One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). All items within the Program of studies are considered as strengths based on the evaluation of the faculty and administrators; The overall result based on the evaluation of the faculty, administrators and students classified the following areas of the Instructional Program as strengths: experience, academic performance of students and supervision for effective instruction. On the other hand, the following areas were classified as weaknesses: instructional procedures, co-curricular activities and academic counseling; There is no significant difference in the evaluation of the faculty and administrators on the program of studies; The result revealed that there is a significant difference among the evaluation made by the faculty, administrators and the students on the areas of supervision for effective instruction and co-curricular activities. In doing so, overall evaluation revealed that there is a significant difference in the evaluation of students, faculty, and administrators on the instructional program of the college of nursing and midwifery.
