Abstract

The study used a descriptive-analytical design of Quantitative Research. Purposive sampling was used. Questionnaires was used in the study. Data was analyzed through frequency distribution, weighted mean, Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis test. From the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: 1) The respondents were individuals who reside in Barangay Burol Main, Dasmariñas City, Cavite. The majority of the respondents were from the age group 18-35, which Erik Erikson classified as “young adulthood.” Most of the respondents were female, had high school as their educational attainment, were unemployed, and earned between P19,520 and P38,080; 2) There is a high perceived effect of COVID-19 pandemic on the wellness of the respondents. Among the eight domains of wellness, the domain that had the least perceived effect of COVID-19 pandemic were Environmental Wellness, followed by Physical Wellness, Spiritual Wellness, Social Wellness, Financial Wellness, and Emotional Wellness. Meanwhile, Intellectual Wellness and Occupational Wellness obtained the highest perceived effect, respectively; 3) There are no significant differences in the perceived effects of COVID- 19 pandemic on the level of wellness of the respondents when they are grouped according to sex, age, and income. However, for the income, there are significant differences that can be seen in the following specific domains of wellness: Social Wellness, Financial Wellness, and Occupational Wellness. On the other hand, there are significant differences in the perceived effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the wellness of the respondents when they are grouped according to their educational attainment and employment status. Specifically, the significant differences are evident in the following domains of wellness under educational attainment: Social Wellness, Intellectual Wellness, Financial Wellness, Occupational Wellness, and Emotional Wellness. Meanwhile, for employment status, the significant differences are evident in the following domains of wellness: Social Wellness, Intellectual Wellness, Financial Wellness, Occupational Wellness, Environmental Wellness, and Emotional Wellness.
