Abstract
A comprehensive search was conducted in nine electronic databases, using predefined search terms related to art-based activities and hospitalized pediatric clients with anxiety. The inclusion criteria were studies published between 2012 and 2022, focusing on art-based activities implemented with hospitalized pediatric clients with anxiety aged 1-6 years. The study concluded that the results of this systematic review support art-based activities as effective interventions for reducing anxiety in hospitalized pediatric clients. The findings highlight the importance of incorporating art-based interventions into the holistic care of pediatric patients, as they offer a non-pharmacological approach to alleviate anxiety symptoms.
