Abstract
The qualitative research design was utilized in this study, specifically the phenomenological approach. Seven participants gave their consent to participate in this study. Participants were chosen using purposive sampling. The findings of the study led to the conclusion that caring for child/children with special needs is challenging and requires a tender loving, caring, sympathetic heart and endless patience. The single parents strive to reach these goals in caring for the children with special needs.
