Abstract
This study used a cross-sectional research design. One hundred (100) participants from Barangay Alulod, Indang , Cavite. served as respondents of the study using a purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study was self-made and adapted from the Perceived Benefits of Herbal Consumption Questionnaire of Sumnger, at al. (2011). Data was subjected to the following statistical treatments: frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of respondents were 41-65 years old, female, had graduated college, and had a monthly family income of under P40,000; 2) The respondents have perceived Makabuhay plant as beneficial in terms of accessibility, affordability, and traditional use, medicinal effects, and nutritional value; 3) There were no significant differences in the perceived health benefits of Makabuhay plant of the respondents when grouped according to age, sex, educational attainment, monthly family income.
