Abstract
The study used a descriptive, non-experimental design. a printed self-made survey questionnaire was distributed through convenience and snowball sampling to 346 residents of Brgy. Ibayo Silangan, Naic, Cavite that are qualified and consented to be respondent in the study. Frequency and percentage, mean, standard deviation, Mann-Whitney U Test and Kruskall-Wallis H Test were the statistical tools used to analyze data. From the study findings, it is concluded that most of the respondents are female, under the age group of 19-39 years old, with a monthly family income of 10,957 and below, and high school graduates. Majority of households in Brgy. Ibayo Silangan, Naic, Cavite have a 'very good' level of knowledge on health monitoring and basic first aid. However, certain aspects still need to be reevaluated in health monitoring and basic first aid. There is no significant difference in the level of knowledge on health monitoring when participants were grouped according to age, and sex, also in basic first-aid when grouped according to age. On the other hand, there is a significant difference in the level of knowledge in health monitoring and basic-first aid when participants were grouped according to educational attainment and monthly family income. There is also a significant difference in the level of knowledge on basic frit-aid when grouped according to sex.
