Abstract

This study utilized a non-experimental descriptive research design. One Hundred (100) diabetic patients in the City of Dasmarinas, Cavite were the respondents of the study and were chosen through purposive and snowball non-probability sampling. The researchers used a questionnaire based on the review of literature. Data was analysed using percentage distribution, mean, t-test, and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Majority of the respondents were middle aged adults, college undergraduates, and females. The respondents have a very good level of knowledge regarding the complications of diabetes mellitus. There were no significant differences in the level of knowledge regarding the complications of diabetes mellitus when the respondents were grouped according to age and gender. However, there was a significant difference in the level of knowledge regarding the complications of diabetes mellitus when grouped according to educational attainment.
