Abstract

The purpose of this study is to asses the sexual behavior of mother in DBB-1 before and during pregnancy. Specifically this aims to: 1. Find out the different sexual behavior of mother before pregnancy. 2. Determine the sexual behavior of mother during pregnancy. 3. Identify the contributing factors in the change of sexual behavior of the mother. The principal aim of this study is to asses the behavior of mother before and during pregnancy. The following are the mother's reason for having sexual intercourse with their partner, majority said that according to both desire, other stated that depending to partner's desire, and few said according to own desire. Things that affects the frequency of sexual relationship of respondents are due to wheather condition, sexual drives and depending upon their physical condition. Things that changes the sexual relationship are causes by the rising number of the family, length of marriage and the rest are not interested. With regards to frequency of sexual relation during pregnancy majority of respondent's agreed that it was common during the first trimester of pregnancy and very few during the second trimester. The following are factors which lessen the sexual relationship during pregnancy as perceived by the respondents: physical discomfort, lack of interest and fear of fetus injury. Based on the above findings, it can be concluded that: 1. There is significant difference in the sexual behavior of mother before pregnancy, rejecting the first hypothesis. 2. There is no significant difference in the sexual behavior of mother during pregnancy, accepting the second hypothesis. 3. Factors contributing to the change in sexual behavior of mother differ with one another, accepting the last hypothesis.
