Determine the level of parenting behavior of traditional and dual earner families as perceived by the selected adolescent students of De La Salle - University - Dasmariñas. 3. Determine the level of parenting behavior, classified as enforcing inhibited and pretense behaviors, as perceived by the respondents from traditional and dual earner families, when grouped according to sex, ordinal position and monthly family income. 4. Find the significant difference in the level of parenting behavior in traditional family as perceived by the respondents, when grouped according to sex, ordinal position and monthly family income. 5. Find the significant difference in the level of parenting behavior in dual earner family as perceived by the respondents, when grouped according to sex, ordinal position and monthly family income. 6. Find significant differences on the level of parenting behavior between traditional and dual earner families as perceived by the selected adolescent student of De La Salle University - Dasmariñas. This study was conducted at De La Salle University - Dasmariñas. A total of sixty respondents were used in this study, thirty students from the traditional family type and the other thirty are from dual earner families. . When the respondents are grouped according to sex, 71.7% or 43 of the total number of 60 respondents were female, belonging to traditional and dual earner. In terms of ordinal position in the family, 53.3% are first born child, both in the traditional and dual earner families. In terms of family income, 50% has a family income that ranges from P10,000 - P20,000. 2. Parenting behavior of traditional and dual earner families as perceived by the selected adolescent studies of De La Salle University - Dasmariñas among their own families are both at the satisfactory level. The traditional family attained an overall mean of 2.66 which was interpreted as satisfactory, which also means that parents attained their responsibility to their children either in terms of enforcing, inhibited and pretense type of behavior. Then the dual earner families attained an overall mean of 2.69, which was also interpreted as satisfactory. So in dual earner family, it only shows that even both parents are working, still they accomplish their responsibilities. 3. The level of parenting behavior as perceived by the respondents from traditional and dual earner families, when grouped according to sex, ordinal position in the family and monthly family income have attained a satisfactory level. When grouped according to sex, the mean in traditional family is 2.60, while in the dual earner is 2.70, which was ranged both satisfactory. In terms of ordinal position it also obtained a mean score that is equal to satisfactory. And in terms of monthly family income the mean score also obtained satisfactory. 4. There is no significant difference in the level of parenting behavior in traditional family as perceived by the respondents when grouped according to sex. In terms of the ordinal position. the F-value/ratio was .6751, which is, less than the F-tab. value of 3.39, which means not significant. While in terms of monthly family income the F-ratio 1.0081 is less than F-tab value of 3.39, this means that when grouped according to monthly family income there is no significant difference. 5. There is no significant difference in the level of parenting behavior in dual earner family as perceived by the respondents when grouped according to sex. The T-value obtained for the ordinal position is .51 which is lower than the T-tabular value of 1.701, it concludes that the T-value obtained is not significant. While, in terms of monthly family income the results also obtained a score that is lower than the F-tab. value of 3.39, which also means that there is no significance. 6. There is no significant difference in the level of parenting behavior in traditional and dual earner family as perceived by the respondents, since t-value is -.22 which is less than the t-tabular value of 1.645 at 5%level of significance. Majority of the respondents were female, eldest in the family ordinal position and with a family earning of more than P10,000.00 monthly. 2. The parenting behavior of traditional and dual earner families were both perceived as satisfactory by the two groups of adolescent respondents. In terms of enforcing, inhibited, and pretense behaviors, even though the respondents belong to either traditional and dual earner type of family their parents satisfy their needs and doesn't fail or neglect their responsibility to them. 3. The level of parenting behavior as perceived by the respondents from traditional and dual earner families, when grouped according to sex, ordinal position in the family and monthly family income is satisfactory, which only means that the level of parenting behavior either in traditional or dual earner type of family is achieved and that their responsibility to their children is attained.
