Abstract

qualitative exploratory-descriptive approach was used. The study used purposive sampling. The target sample size of the study was eight (8) from the total population of the OB-GYNE Department of 33,000 physicians which was obtained through an email to the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society. The researchers utilized self-made questionnaire and semi-structured interviews via Zooms in order to collect data from obstetrician-gynecologists who have been using telemedicine during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data analysis started through arranging the responses of the participants relative to the interview questionnaire. All of the audio recordings or written responses of the participants was encoded through a verbatim transcript in a computer. A distinct list of coded was prepared based on the pattern and arising trends of key themes or word occurring among the interviews. Percentage was also used for comparison of data. The study concluded that the implementation of telemedicine in the Philippines is viewed by OB-GYNE physicians as a valuable tool for delivering health care to patients. A more user-friendly and efficient telemedicine platform, as well as one that complies with security and privacy regulations, should be implemented.
