Abstract

Parasitic infections continue to pose significant health challenges, particularly among children in low-resource communities. This study showed the presence between parasitic infections specifically Soil – Transmitted Helminthiasis in children in Ipilan at Barangay San Agustin 2, City of Dasmariñas, Cavite, aiming to identify the prevalence rates of children ages 3-12 years old. A qualitative approach was used using stool analysis Kato – Katz technique in identifying the parasitic infection present and the demographic information were gathered through surveys to the parents of the participants. Preliminary findings revealed a notable presence of parasitic infection among the children sampled, with 48% testing positive for Ascaris lumbricoides eggs and 28% for no presence of parasite.
