Abstract

Employability of the students are one of the main goals of every learning institution. The objective of this study is to determine the demographic profile of the respondents, determine the factor that has the greatest effect on employability of the alumni, and determine the significance on the factors that affect the employability of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) Alumni from 2018 to 2021 when grouped according to demographic profile. These factors include school quality, course description, academic performance, and postgraduate education. The alumni were grouped according to demographic profile such as age, sex, and batch year. A modified survey questionnaire was employed as a data gathering tool which was distributed via Microsoft Forms to a total of one hundred fifty-eight (158) calculated sample. Only eighty-three (83) respondents participated in the study from the CMLS graduates of 2018 to 2021. The acquired data was statistically analyzed using both descriptive, and inferential statistics to present the dataset, and therefore arise from an appropriate conclusion. Hence, the treatment employed were the mean, standard deviation, frequency and percentage, independent T-test, and one-way analysis of variance. In conclusion, there were no significant factors that affect the employability of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) Alumni from 2018 to 2021.
