Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a public health threat since its onset due to a lack of treatment. In this study, the respondents were Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science students studying in DLSMHSI. In order to evaluate the students' perception on the use of Ivermectin in the treatment and prevention of COVID-19, a total of 266 students will be required to partake in the study.

The respondents' sociodemographic profile was determined, which included their sex, year level, community, and age. The survey results reveal that there is a significant difference in the perception of using Ivermectin against COVID-19 only on the sociodemographic profiles year level and sex, but none can be observed in terms, community and age. Additionally, it was discovered that BSMLS students from DLSMHSI have both positive and negative perceptions of Ivermectin, with the former being more frequent. Still, when the overall weighted mean was obtained it appeared that the BSMLS students disagree on the usage of Ivermectin against COVID-19. Having said that, rejects the null hypothesis.
