Abstract

The study focuses on the resilience and perseverance of Filipino workers despite the COVID-10 threat. In more detail, the COVID-19 threat has made a lot of impacts on people, especially the workers living in the Philippines. It shows how the COVID-19 pandemic tested the Filipino workers’ resilience and perseverance in times of threat as a means of survival. In order to determine the association between the variables, the researchers identified the level of resilience and perseverance depending on their demographic profile by creating google forms and printed questionnaires, distributing it to the chosen participants. Out of the ninety-eight (98) respondents who participated over the target of 100 respondents, and 18 to 55 years of age and are employed in the local government unit, Multilab Diagnostics Clinic, or General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital around Trece Marites City, Cavite answered the test honestly as the results show a big difference in mean between the resilience and perseverance. Almost all of the respondents appeared to have a high level of resilience along with a high level as the result of their perseverance. In this sense, even though there is COVID-19 pandemic, Filipino workers in these certain places showed more resilience and perseverance in times of challenges and difficulties they faced in work. The research suggests further analysis, not only to specified locations, but on a nationwide scale to determine the level of resiliency and perseverance among the Filipino population during the pandemic.
