Abstract

The study aims to determine the effectiveness of the antibacterial properties contained in the plants Muntingia calabura (Aratilis) and Ixora Coccinea Linn (Santan) on gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus and gram-negative bacteria Escherichia Coli. This research will be conducted within the vicinity of De La Salle University Angelo King Medical Research Center in De La Salle Medical & Health Sciences Institute. The study will be utilizing a quantitative approach of the experimental kind. It is not the study’s concern to test the effectiveness of the specimens’ other properties but will only focus on its antibacterial capabilities. It would also limit the plants used to only the Aratilis and Santan.
