Abstract

This study will focus on the level of knowledge and attitudes of residents in selected barangays in Dasmariñas City regarding antibiotic resistance. Three selected barangays will be the locale for the study, this includes Barangay Burol Main 2, Barangay Sampaloc 1, and Barangay San Jose. The study will only introduce what antimicrobial resistance is and will give an in-depth discussion regarding antibiotic resistance, a specific topic associated with antimicrobial resistance. Also, the researchers will not be giving an in-depth discussion on how a bacteria becomes resistant. Instead, they will only be giving facts about it. The researchers will also collect the respondents' age, sex, and level of education. In contrast, the researchers will not inquire about the specific antibiotics that the respondents have taken and also about their current employment status. A specific drug’s component and properties and a bacteria’s behavior and characteristic will not be a focus for this study.
