Abstract

The study will focus on the effectiveness of the plant extracts as a mosquitocidal. This research will focus on the extracts of Capsicum frutescens, Cymbopogon citratus, and Origanum vulgare as an insect repellent. The extracts of different plants will be used individually and will be mixed together with different concentrations. This study will not include other plant extracts. The result of this research is not intended to compete with other marketed insect repellents. The only type of mosquito that will be used in this experiment is Culex pipiens. The study will be limited in the area of Dasmariñas, Cavite and will not include other vicinities. The study will only focus on the following: (1) effectivity, and (2) difference between the effectivity of each extract with different levels of concentration.
