Synergistic effect of ethanolic Daucus carota L. (carrot root) extract and Cinnamomum verum (cinnamon) powder against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus

Abstract

This study will focus on the antimicrobial effectiveness of Ethanolic Carrot Root Extract and Cinnamon powder against a gram-negative bacteria, Escherichia coli, and a gram-positive bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus. The needed variables will be bought from a local supermarket in the City of Dasmariñas, Cavite. The researchers will use ethanolic extraction to get the extensive properties of the carrot such as its antimicrobial potential. The data gathering procedure will be conducted in a span of 2-3 weeks at the Research Center of De La Salle University Medical Center - Angelo King Building.
