Abstract

The study shall emphasize the three levels of qualities and traits resulting from the three aspects involved in the study including pre-made hygiene surveys, water analysis, and soil analysis. The gathered results will allow the observation and identification of factors, relationships, and concepts related to the prevalence of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi in Imus, Cavite. Additionally, the study will be conducted within the areas of Imus, Cavite, specifically, Malagasang 1-F and Buhay na Tubig during the school year 2019-2020 with the respondents of the study as the local citizens with the capability to consciously think to reside close to the survey areas. Furthermore, the number of respondents to be surveyed will be 50 local citizens for each location and the number of locations for gathering 100mL tap water samples for the water analysis, 100g of soil samples for the soil analysis, and 100g of soil sample with distilled water for the formation of correlations between the two analyses will be two varying locations which will only be acquired within the premise where the citizens reside. The study will not answer any extraneous questions and details outside the subject of the study and will only focus on three key points including hygiene practices, water quality, and soil quality related to the prevalence of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi. Moreover, the study will not generalize the overall hygiene, water, and soil quality of Imus, Cavite, but it shall create a conceptual view and a breakdown analysis of factors towards the prevalence of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi in the city and the chosen locales.
