Abstract

The descriptive method of research using simple random sampling technique was employed in this study. Questionnaires were used in gathering data from the 365 respondents out of the total population of 4,129. In the analysis, frequency, ANOVA, mean, percentage and standard deviation were used. Results showed that, (1) majority of the respondents were 35 to 55 years old, married, high school graduates and earn a monthly income of 10,000 pesos and below; (2) the respondents are moderately aware regarding the common health problems caused by flood water; (3) civil status and monthly income were not significantly related to the respondents' level of awareness regarding

common health problems caused by flood water while age and educational attainment were significantly related. Those belonging to 35 to 55 years old and college graduates have higher level of awareness.
