Abstract

The correlational research method was employed in this study. The respondents in this study were chosen with the aid of quota sampling. There were a total of 300 non-randomly selected radiologic technologist in 32 hospitals in Metro Manila. The profiles investigated among the respondents in this study include the type of hospital, position in hospital, and research experience. A 19 item self-made questionnaire was distributed to the respondents. The data gathered was analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test for independent means, F-test or One-way randomized ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, and Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient. Results showed that respondents are selected equally from government and private hospitals. Majority of them are rank and file position and have experienced only in writing undergraduate theses. The overall attitude towards research of the respondents is positive. The overall involvement in research of the respondents is low. The overall attitude towards research is the same when the respondents are grouped according to type of hospital, position in hospital, and research experience. The overall involvement in research of the respondents does not vary according to the type of hospital and position in hospital but highly varies with their research experience. Respondents with master's thesis showed to be more involved in research compared to other groups. There is a highly positive correlation between attitude and involvement in research among the respondents. This means that as attitude increases, their involvement in research also increases.
