Abstract

The descriptive method of research was used in the study. The respondents were 79 radiologic technologists from selected hospitals in Cavite and they were selected using convenience sampling technique. The researchers utilized a self-made questionnaire that measured the adherence of the respondents to the Code of Professional Ethics. Data was analyzed using mean, frequency, percentage, standard deviation, t-test and f-test. Based on the findings, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) Majority of the respondents were male, belonged to the age bracket of 30-39 years old, with 2-5 years of service and employed in the private hospital; (2) The level of adherence to the Code of Professional Ethics had a mean of 3.67 and verbally interpreted as always; (3) The level of adherence of the radiologic technologists to the Code of Professional Ethics in selected hospitals in Cavite had no significant differences when they are grouped according to age; (4) The level of adherence of the radiologic technologists to the Code of Professional Ethics in selected hospitals in Cavite had no significant differences when they are grouped according to gender; (5) The level of adherence of the radiologic technologists to the Code of Professional Ethics in selected hospitals in Cavite had no significant differences when they are grouped according to length of service; (6) The level of adherence of the radiologic technologists to the Code of Professional Ethics in selected hospitals in Cavite had a significant difference when they are grouped according to the type of hospital; (7) Homogeneity existed in the level of adherence of the respondents when grouped according to age, gender and length of service. However, heterogeneity existed in the level of adherence when the respondents are grouped according to type of hospital. Type of hospital was the factor that affected the level of adherence of the respondents. The respondents had the same evaluation on the level of adherence regardless of age, gender and length of service.
