Abstract

The study employed the descriptive method of research. Using convenience sampling technique, a total of 85 radiologic technologists were included as respondents. The researchers used a self-made questionnaire to measure the extent of practice of radiologic technologist regarding pediatric radiography in selected affiliated hospitals of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute. Statistical tools used were frequency, mean, percentage, standard deviation, f-test and t-test. Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) Majority of the respondents were male, belonged to the age group of 18-35 years old and with 1-5 years of service; (2) The extent of practice of the respondents regarding pediatric radiography had an overall mean score of 4.17 with standard deviation of 0.45024, verbally interpreted as often and with the correlation variance of 10.79, which reveals the homogeneity of respondents; (3) The extent of practice of the respondents regarding pediatric radiography in selected affiliated hospitals of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute had no significant difference when they are grouped according to age; (4) The extent of practice of the respondents regarding pediatric radiography in selected affiliated hospitals of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute had no significant difference when they are grouped according to gender; (5) The extent of practice of the respondents regarding pediatric radiography in selected affiliated hospitals of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute had no significant difference when they are grouped according to length of service.
